Picture Media, an image licensing agency, wanted an interface redesign to freshen their site’s look and feel whilst incorporating new functionality in an appealing and easy-to-use manner.
Key areas to note were promoting the depth and breadth of the service offered by picture media and the continual supply of new content. In particular they felt the previous site was too static and needed more visual interest.
Working with the existing colour palette and branding we developed a fresh look, introducing an impactful hero image to the homepage with supporting images alongside to showcase to users the various categories of images available.
A prominent header was developed to promote key messages and educate visitors on the scale of the offering (with over 6 million images available) and the world class quality of contributors.
A number of changes to interface behaviour were introduced to enhance the user experience and streamline the use of many site features. This required close collaboration with the backend development team to ensure the complexity of the design and proposed interface behaviour was achievable within the back-end framework.
